Terms of Service
Last updated 20 August 2026
These terms cover the Quick Add Calendar Chrome extension and the
site at quickaddcal.com. Installing or using the extension means you
accept them. If you don't, please uninstall it.
What the service does
Quick Add Calendar takes content you supply — pasted text, an email, a PDF, a screenshot, or a photo — and extracts event details from it: title, date, time, and location. It shows you what it found so you can correct it, and creates the event on the Google Calendar you choose only after you approve it.
Your Google account
Connecting a Google account is what lets the extension write events to your calendar and list the calendars you can write to. You can disconnect an account at any time from the extension's settings, which revokes its access immediately. What is accessed and why is set out in the privacy policy.
Your use of Google Calendar itself remains governed by your agreement with Google. Quick Add Calendar is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google.
Extraction is not guaranteed to be correct
Event details are extracted by a language model, and language models get things wrong — particularly dates, times, and time zones, which are the parts that matter most on a calendar. The review screen is not a formality. It exists because you are the one responsible for checking an event before it is saved, and dates the model had to infer are flagged for exactly that reason.
You are responsible for anything that follows from an event you approved — a missed appointment, a wrong time, a booking made on the strength of an incorrect entry.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of everything you paste or attach. You are responsible for having the right to submit it, and for not submitting content you are not permitted to send to a third-party API. A screenshot often contains more than the event you care about; check before you send it.
Content you submit is processed by Anthropic under Anthropic's privacy policy and their applicable terms.
Acceptable use
Don't use the extension to:
- submit content you don't have the right to submit;
- break any law, or infringe anyone's rights;
- attack, overload, or probe the service or the APIs behind it;
- resell or repackage the service as your own.
Access may be suspended if the service is being used this way.
Costs
When you use your own Anthropic API key, extraction is billed to your Anthropic account at Anthropic's rates. Those charges are between you and Anthropic, and you are responsible for keeping an eye on them.
Availability
The extension depends on services it does not control — Google Calendar and the Anthropic API. Either can change, break, rate-limit, or go away, and that can stop the extension working. The service is provided as-is, with no guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the author is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension, including missed events, lost data, or costs incurred through a third-party API. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and termination
These terms may change; the date above will change with them, and continued use after a change means you accept it. You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it and disconnecting any connected Google account.
