Your Google account
Last updated 2 September 2026
Quick Add Calendar is a Chrome extension. Paste an email, a PDF, or a screenshot and it pulls out the event details, then adds the event to your Google Calendar. Connecting a Google account is what lets it write the events you approve to the calendar you pick.
What it asks for
-
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.eventsCreates the events you approve. It never reads, edits, or deletes anything already on your calendars. -
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.calendarlist.readonlyReads the names of your calendars, so you can choose where events land. It is read-only and does not open any calendar's contents.
Signing in also returns your email address, which is used to show which account is connected and to hold the credits the extension runs on.
Nothing is written without you
Every extracted event appears on a review screen first, and anything the extension had to guess is flagged. Nothing reaches your calendar until you approve it, and every field is editable before it is saved.
What is never done with it
Your Google data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train any model. It is used only to provide the feature you asked for. The privacy policy has the full detail of what leaves your browser and what the server keeps.
Taking it back
Disconnecting an account in the extension's Settings revokes access immediately. You can also revoke it from your Google account permissions page at any time.
